Adjustments to certain underlying funds of the DFS Guaranteed Investment Funds (DFS GIF)
Changes to the underlying funds of the DFS GIF – Conservative – Desjardins Wise ETF and DFS GIF – Balanced – Desjardins Wise ETF
The name of the underlying fund of the DFS GIF – Balanced – Desjardins Wise ETF has been changed from Desjardins Wise Balanced ETF Portfolio to Desjardins Wise Moderate ETF Portfolio. The name of the DFS GIF will be changed in the near future to reflect the new name of the underlying fund.
The target asset allocation of the underlying funds of the DFS GIF – Conservative – Desjardins Wise ETF and DFS GIF – Balanced – Desjardins Wise ETF has been changed. For more information, see the press release.
Changes to the underlying fund of the DFS GIF – Dividend Income – Desjardins
The name of the underlying fund of this DFS GIF has been changed from Desjardins Dividend Income Fund to Desjardins Dividend Balanced Fund. The name of the DFS GIF will be changed in the near future to reflect the new name of the underlying fund. In addition, certain changes have been made to the underlying fund's investment strategies. Adjustments to certain DFS Guaranteed Investment Funds (DFS GIF)
Changes to the portfolio sub-advisor of two DFS GIFs and their strategy
For the DFS GIF – Canadian Small Cap Equity – NEI, the portfolio sub-advisor Laurus Investment Counsel Inc. has been replaced by Hillsdale Investment Management Inc. The sub-advisor for the DFS GIF – Growth and Income – NEI has been changed from Kingwest & Company to Letko, Brosseau & Associates Inc. As a result of these changes, a new investment strategy has been implemented for both of these DFS GIF Funds.
Change in risk level
As a result of changes made to the method used to determine the risk level, the risk level for certain DFS GIFs has been adjusted:
