Monthly amount payable on the first day in the event of hospitalization or day surgery
The policyowner is eligible to receive a monthly amount on the first day in the event of hospitalization or day surgery of the insured person.
Definition of hospitalization: A stay of at least 18 consecutive hours in a hospital as an in-patient assigned to a bed (ward or room). Hospitalization must result from an illness or accident.
Definition of day surgery: Surgery performed in a hospital for which the insured person is discharged on the same day as the surgery. Day surgery is surgery that does not require hospitalization. Some exceptions may apply (see Waiting period).
No partial monthly amount is paid on the first day in the event of hospitalization or day surgery, regardless of the occupation class or waiting period.
