Complimentary assistance services are available to the insured person and their loved ones. These services are useful whether these people are healthy or going through a difficult period.

Services offered with SOLO Loan Insurance:

  • • 24/7 phone assistance services

    This service provides 24/7 access to advice from a nurse on health-related topics such as nutrition, vaccinations, childcare and the use of natural products or prescription drugs.

    This phone assistance service offers:
    • Information about medical conditions, illnesses and the side effects of drugs
    • Advice on living with a disability or critical illness such as cancer, and information on treatment options

  • Second medical opinion
    Offered by Teladoc® Medical Experts

    In case of illness, there are 4 ways to access this service:
    • Expert medical opinion: Leading medical specialists offer a second opinion on a diagnosis, treatment plan or surgery.
    • Find a doctor: This provides assistance finding the top specialists in Canada based on the insured person's medical situation and their criteria and geographic preferences.
    • Care finder: This offers access to a directory with the contact information of medical specialists and establishments outside Canada for treatment or surgery.
    • Personal health navigator: A nurse will act as a personal navigator to help with any health-related questions. Acces to the service is unlimited for insured adults, their immediate families (spouse and dependent children) and their extended families (parents, parents-in-law, siblings and siblings-in-law).
